The importance of great Tea & Coffee to Walkers Nurseries
For over 60 years, Walkers Nurseries has supported avid gardeners in South Yorkshire. Vera and Lawrence Walker started the business in 1951 when then grew crops to sell at Doncaster Market.
As with many Garden Centres, Walkers Nurseries is also now a Food & Drink destination. Tea and Coffee are the biggest sellers across the business, it’s vital to get this right!
Ringtons have proudly partnered with Walkers Nurseries now for over 15 years to offer first-class hot beverages to customers.

How to choose a coffee machine
Graham had fond memories of Ringtons – like thousands of others, his grandmother used our doorstep delivery service! Graham had experience of the care and attention that goes into Ringtons products and services, and was excited to discover we could help with the business.
Ringtons conducted an assessment of the Walkers Nurseries Café to understand exactly what the customers were looking for, how many drinks were being served, and the finally the staff training and skills.
Ringtons elected to provide 4 La Cimbali S30 machines in the new café, as they offer virtually unlimited flexiblility, and a large capacity for busier days.
It doesn’t end with an install
Once all four S30 machines were installed, Ringtons delivered a full day training with the café staff.
The S30 is much more capable than the older machines, so it was important for us to work with the Walkers staff so they could confidently work the machines and serve customers to specific requirements.
Graham continued:
“It’s immeasurable how important Ringtons are to us, we need to provide our customers with great Tea and Coffee and with Ringtons in our corner we can.”
