As a proudly family-run business since 1907, it’s the people that make Ringtons. From our Tea and Coffee experts, through to our delivery drivers, our people go to great lengths to get world class products to you, each and every day.
We wanted to shine a light on the Ringtons Factory – a purpose built facility in Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne. Our people come into the factory to blend, roast and package our finest products for our customers. The factory is a vital, yet often understated part of what makes Ringtons.
Inside The Ringtons Factory
Each day starts with a delivery from our local importing partners, Port of Tyne.

4,500 drinks produced per minute
A typical day at the Ringtons Factory starts with a delivery from our partners at Port of Tyne.
Product is carefully sourced from Tea and Coffee growing countries – from Kenya to India, Brazil to Honduras – and imported into the UK with the help of Port of Tyne. Using local business means we save over 100,000 road haulage miles every year.

At The Factory
Just a few of the process that happen at the factory daily.
Coffee Roasting
Coffee is pre-blended, and batch roasted daily in our premium Probat Roasters.
Tea Blending
Tea is carefully processed in our blending site, ready to be taken to the packed for sealing and nitrogen flushing.
Quality Control
No product leaves the factory unless its up to standard. Our factory is very carefully controlled in house and is BRC AA* accredited.
Bespoke Packaging
At Ringtons, we pride ourselves on flexibility for our customers. Our vast array of packing machines includes many different styles, weights and more.

As Stephen explains in the video linked above, one of the most common questions asked about Ringtons is, ‘is Ringtons coffee? I thought you just did tea?’
With Ringtons having such a long history of being a supplier of fine tea, it’s understandable. However, Ringtons today produces and sells some of the finest teas and coffees, available both online and through our traditional doorstep delivery service.
Our coffee at Ringtons ranges from great-tasting coffee beans, to pre-ground coffee or instant coffee, and we have luxury options to suit every taste and preference. Every coffee in our collection is made from freshly roasted coffee beans from across the globe, so whatever style you prefer, you are sure to get the same unbelievable taste.
We proudly produce our coffee, and it’s usually just a matter of weeks between roasting to brewing. Meaning you and your customers will enjoy freshly roasted coffee with Ringtons as standard.
