Committed to responsible sourcing from origin to cup

At Ringtons, we believe great tea and coffee should be sourced responsibly, transparently and with care for the people and communities behind every cup.

As a fifth-generation family business, ethical trading has long been part of how we operate. We work closely with producers, suppliers and industry organisations across the world to support more sustainable farming practices, improve livelihoods and help protect the future of tea and coffee.

Through strong partnerships and long-term relationships, we continue to build supply chains that are resilient, transparent and focused on continuous improvement.

Our Sustainability Vision is:

We focus on the long term for our future generations.

With care we nurture our environments and support global communities to thrive.

Renowned for doing it our way.

Our Industry Partnerships

Project Waterfall

We’ve partnered with Project Waterfall to support sustainable clean water, sanitation and education projects in coffee-growing communities. With every sale of our Impact coffee, funding now helps address the water crisis at the source of our supply chain, aligning our ethical trading and ESG goals with long-term positive impact where it matters most.

World coffee research

World Coffee Research

We donate an extra 1p on each kilogram of coffee we buy to World Coffee Research. Our donation is matched by our importing partners to double the impact. World Coffee Research focusses on agricultural research and development, delving into the risks to coffee due to climate change and working out how to counteract those risks to ensure a brighter future for every actor in the coffee supply chain.

Ethical Tea Partnership

The Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) is the tea sector’s global membership organisation working to improve the lives of the people and communities who rely on tea for their livelihoods. We are proud to be active members of ETP, contributing at Board Level and through member working groups to help build a tea sector that works for everyone.

Many of the challenges facing the tea sector are deeprooted and systemic and no single organisation can address them alone. Meaningful progress requires collaboration and the combined efforts of partners across the sector – together we can achieve far more than any one actor could independently.

Through partnerships, ETP works to address the most pressing human rights and environmental challenges in the global tea supply chain – from improving livelihoods and working conditions to advancing equality and climate resilience.

We work alongside ETP and fellow members with the aim of creating a fairer, more sustainable tea industry for workers, farmers, and the environment.
